FREE Downloadable PDF - Major-Minor Scale Solfege Paths
Here's a great handout that illustrates the major and minor scales in paths in order to illustrate how the minor mode sometimes borrows scale degrees 6 and 7 from the major mode to create the "harmonic" and "melodic" versions of the minor scale. Despite the seemingly "3 versions of minor" (natural, harmonic, melodic), there is only ONE minor mode - it should be understood that scale degrees 6 and 7 are variable within the minor pitch collection.
